- Using the patient's prescription: Guide your customer's choice on the best frame curve according to the power range specified in the Wraparound lens dispensing Chart
- Using the patient's chosen frame: Use the Wraparound lens dispensing Chart to determine whether the chosen frame is suitable for the patient's prescription.
Step 2: Ordering lenses from your local Essilor Laboratory
To determine the frame curve. When placing your order, please specify the frame type (A,B or C) and/ or the specific lens curve you want. should you only specify frame type, your local Essilor laboratory will optimise the lens base curve according to the patient's prescription and to the curvature of the frame.

Place the frame on top of the different shapes above. Align the front of the frame to the top line then check if the frame stays “inside” the frame type. You’ll find the correct match very easily. You can then determine the power limits for this frame.
Step 3: Power outside dispensing guide range
Should the patient's prescription / frame combination fall outside the Wraparound lens dispensing Chart, call your local Essilor laboratory with frame type and prescription details. it may be possible to extend these guidelines slightly depending on the specifics of the prescription. alternatively we will suggest the best option possible to satisfy your client.
