Sports SOL-utions are a technological innovation that provides protection on the front surface of the lens and the correction on the back surface.

This range of lenses is the ideal visual solution for anyone engaged in sporting activities. When designing these lenses, the two main criteria were blue light absorption and colour perception.

Colour perception

Using a filter to cut out blue light isn't a problem in itself but it does have its own drawbacks. Tints which cut out blue light can distort colour perception leading to loss of information and visual fatigue. Sports SOL-utions filter out blue light without distorting the perception of colour and the wearer won't experience any loss of information or visual fatigue.

Glare reduction

Some sporting activities are carried out in conditions where re?ج�?��ected light off horizontal surfaces reduces visual comfort and can even become a hazard. Polarising filters have been used to improve visual comfort whenever glare is a problem.

Blue light

We have recently seen an increased awareness of issues concerning blue light. Blue light is the part of the visual spectrum which is most scattered within the eye itself, resulting in a veiling glare that can mask the vision and inhibit visual comfort. By filtering this blue light, we can achieve improved visual contrast and increased visual acuity.
