Technical Features
Essilor Transitions have always been high performance lenses, and over the years this performance has continued to evolve. The latest generation, Essilor Transitions VI, sets new standards of lens performance and provides unparalleled benefits to all the wearers.
While the previous generations of Essilor Transitions lenses provide good performance, the performance of standard 1.5 index (with Transitions Next Generation) and polycarbonate (with Transitions V) is still limited with earlier technologies. Eye-care professionals and patients perceived Transitions Next Generation as dark but not fast to fade back while Transitions V as fast to fade back but not dark. This has become history, since we have introduced Transitions VI for all materials.
